Sample Ceremony

We are gathered here today  to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth of beauty and love, and to cherish the words which shall unite you in marriage. ___ and ___ want to thank you for joining them here today.

It is not looking for perfection in each other. It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and sense of humor. It is having the capacity to  forgive and forget. It is giving each other an

atmosphere in which each can grow. It is finding room for things of the spirit. It is the common search for the good and the beautiful. It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal. It is not marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.

Let your love be stronger than your anger.

Learn the wisdom of compromise, for it better to bend than break.

Look for the best in your beloved rather than the worst.

Confide is your partner and ask for help when you need it.

Remember true friendship is the basis for any lasting relationship.

Give your spouse the same courtesies and kindness you bestow upon your friends.

Say I love you every day...
